Former juniors announcer John Meissner sent a much more useful email to HNN than I did. Just to be clear, everyone knows now there is no USHL team in Dubuque.
"Web search results still indicated teams in the previously mentioned cities at the time of publication."
I'm sure you can find web results that say the sun circles the Earth, and that the moon is made out of cream cheese, but that doesn't make it right.
"Web search results?" What the heck was he looking at? It certainly wasn't the league's website (gee, what a novel place to start!). A basic google search of either "USHL" or "United States Hockey League" pulls up ushl.com first and foremost. Why look anywhere else?
